Cleaning\hygiene campaign 27/12/2023
On the occasion of the civil society organizations day which is based on the Arab League decree to make the 27th of December as a specific day to perform and carry out initiatives and activities within our communities.
Therefore, on Wednesday, 27th of December, 2023, GASHBUN NGO staff including all employees as well as volunteers initiated and implemented a cleaning/hygiene campaign.
The ad hoc hygiene/cleaning campaign targeted public and touristic locations to keep the environment clean from garbage. So, for this time, GASHBUN targeted the top of Zawa Mountain within Duhok, because it’s a touristic and public place with the high rate of visitors/tourists as it’s a high mountain near by Duhok city with nice views and active touristic facilities.
More than twenty-three (23) Gashbun staff members participated in this relevant hygiene/cleaning campaign.
This relevant hygiene/cleaning campaign carried out in co-ordination with Duhok municipality and the relevant local authorities.
The main objectives to carry out this relevant campaign were:
a-Promoting the sense of awareness to keep the environment clean.
b-Disseminating positive, effective and concrete messages among other people regarding hygienic environment.
c-Encouraging other people to initiate and join such cleaning/hygiene campaigns on voluntary base.
d-Enhancing the concepts of hygiene promotion on persuasive base.
In the end, the relevant hygiene/cleaning campaign was achieved successfully with high spirits and strong teamwork among all Gashbun staff/co-workers.
