Gashbun (GBV) Center set plans to open educational and vocational training courses for women and girls, aiming at creating a safer environment for handling specific violence cases managed by the Case Management Department. The following courses are introduced in Duhok city and in (Sewing Training, Online Marketing Training, Makeup and Makeup extension Training, and Literacy Training. These courses are selected based on Focus Group Discussions FGDs with women and girls in Duhok, taking their needs, desires and hobbies in regards, some trainings are ongoing, while others are scheduled to start in the coming months. The center has witnessed participation from various age groups in different activities and courses for women and girls in which most of them expressed satisfaction and happiness in visiting the center, joining any organized course, and believing that they can constantly improve their skill and within the training courses Some testimonials include: 1- Participants in the Online Marketing Training mentioned that it opened new opportunities for securing employment and utilizing social media positively, enhancing their self-confidence. 2- Women attending the Literacy Training shared that they were victims of misconceptions about women abilities and social participation, depriving from education. After participating, they gained optimism and happiness, realizing there are still opportunities for them to access education and be self-reliant. 3- Those in the Sewing Training highlighted the significance of these professional courses for women, providing them with a means of livelihood, especially for those supporting their families, protecting them from exploitation or other forms of assault.
