Women Participation
participation in mediation can ensure that she become engaged in peacebuilding. Based on women’s effective role, Gashbun NGO ensures to achieve the objectives of this project in which traditional, negative societal norms and religious common misconceptions, the obliterating women’s identity factors will be discussed and revised, the rights that were taken away, the hidden talents, skills that exist in women, potential capacities are uncovered to prove that women have an effective role in participating in conflict prevention.
Vocational Trainings
Gashbun (GBV) Center set plans to open educational and vocational training courses for women and girls, aiming at creating a safer environment for handling specific violence cases managed by the Case Management Department. The following courses are introduced in Duhok city and in (Sewing Training, Online Marketing Training, Makeup and Makeup extension Training, and Literacy Training. 1-Gashbon provides disability assistive device to the children with disabilities (wheelchairs, crutches, medical eye glasses, hearing devices, asthma breath device, hand supporters, leg supporters, blood press device, diabetes devices, back pain…. etc)
2- Medical services: simple medical operations ( leg adjustment, lengthening wedges, providing medicine depending on formal medical prescription….. etc)
3- Informal Education at Gashbon’s centers
4- Reinforcement training courses for the students of Basic and preparatory schools
5-Providing schools with stationary and other learning materials
