20/6/2023 | GBV Project manager | Gashbun Organization is working with Canadian Government through Canadian Embassy in Baghdad to support women and girls in Dohuk Governorate with great focus on Syrian refugee in camps and out camps Project description The Canadian Embassy in Iraq is supporting Gashbun organization through granting a fund for the project of women protection and empowerment. The project is implemented in Domiz1&2 camp and Domiz urban area covering refugees, IDPs, and host community providing GBV case management, community member awareness, capacity building for service providers, vocational and educational training for girls and women, and cash assistance Job description: The primary function of the project manager is to supervise and assist actors working on GBV, working closely with partners, and linking women space activities to the other organization including governmental and non- governmental agencies working on GBV in Dohuk and other provinces as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: 1. Put effort in developing and aim directing of all contexts of the project. 2. Closely monitor and support all activities within the project. 3. Supervise, direct, and assisting, case workers and community mobilizers in women space management. 4. Supporting and training new staff on women space management and GBV emergency working 5. Working closely with finance and administration department for documenting and arranging staff documents. 6. Project manager should provide monthly report and progress report with all indicators of women space beneficiaries. 7. Contentious effort and support for developing new projects addressing women issues with main focus on GBV Representation o Represent the organization at coordination meetings as appropriate. o Ensure maximum visibility of the agency amongst the UN and NGO community. o Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct Coordination & Representation o Participate in Bi-Weekly supervision meeting with Project Manager and coordinator, to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate case management o Participate in case conference meetings and provide summary information on critical cases that required case conference o Maintain positive coordination and relationship with other partners in the field to promote holistic approach to case management o A high degree of flexibility and willingness to perform other duties based on supervisor’s/project manager’s request. Human Resource Development o In coordination with Gashbun coordinator, supports the orientation, on-going development/training and capacity building of community volunteers and community-based protection mechanisms including Child Protection Committees, Youth Groups, Women Groups and traditional and religious leaders. Learning and knowledge management o Document and share relevant information that will inform the development of case studies and or success stories of the project (with full respect of the principle of confidentiality) o If necessary, participate in case review and case conference meetings and share experience on critical/ complex cases (with full respect of the principle of confidentiality). Qualifications & Preferred Skills · Bachelor in Social Work, Public Health, International Development, or another relevant field of study preferred. · Al lease 3 years’ Experience in emergencies and conflict areas strongly preferred. · Familiarity with standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination. · Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently. · Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations with the ability for travelling to different locations as needed. · Good experience with refugees and IDPs · Experience in refugee camps · Team player and strong communication skills, both oral and written. · Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint a plus. · English, Kurdish and Arabic languages are required. |
20/6/2023 | GBV Case Worker | · Description of general duties In collaboration with Gashbun coordinator, GBV Project Manager, and GBV Supervisor, GBV Case Worker will be responsible for the following: o To provide the day-to-day management of all GBV cases, including the identification, documentation, developing case plans and follow ups o Liaises directly with other service providers working within the area of GASHBUN’s activities and communities where the project is implemented and facilitate referrals to other service providers (health, shelter, NFIs, legal assistance, financial support) o Ensures that Survivor Centered Approach Guiding principles maintained and enforced in, while working with survivors, including in safe space for survivors during the case management sessions/meetings and activities in the GASHBUN Static ‘s Centers. Case Worker’s duties o Provide GBV case management and psychosocial support (PSS) to vulnerable persons, particularly to GBV survivors at GASHBUNs Static center(s), including mobile centers in the field levels o Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls and GBV survivor, including basic information counseling and case management – assessment of survivor needs, developing an action plan, implementing the plan, follow up and case closure processes in line with the GASHBUN S/GBV Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) o Participate in “Service Providers Mapping” activities in the area of GASHBUN interventions o Support individuals in risk of GBV or survivors, by referring them when necessary and in respect of their consent to other service providers (health, legal assistance, shelter/safe space, livelihoods, financial support). o Ensure Do No Harm approach is applied in all activities conducted in work with GBV survivors and other GASHBUN’s beneficiaries o Identify opportunities for awareness rising, whether in a GASHBUN facilities, community centers or other safe spaces; plan the sessions; conduct the sessions o Prepare, organize and conduct focus group discussions (FGD) on relevant topics/information collection, when needed o Identify protection concerns of women, girls, men and boys within the community in the area of intervention; i.e. any trends should be reported to the area manager and advocate for gaps in GBV response and referral procedures o Receive referrals, take action and provide feedback of actions taken in a timely manner to the project manager, , coordinator and other agencies when necessary. Administration o Responsible for the selection and supervise community volunteers working in the GASHBUN Static’s center(s) o Identify resources need and request to supplies for smooth/non-interrupted work o Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of staff providing skills training to survivors/beneficiaries at the GASHBUN Center(s) Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting o Produce regular data and narrative reports for based on Project Manager’s/ request. o Supports implementation and ensure adherence to monitoring and evaluation plans o Provide weekly case update to supervisor/project manager, including new cases identified, number of referrals, cases closed and follow ups o Provide weekly report on activities at the women and girls center(s), including key achievements, challenges, lessons learnt and follow up support needed from supervisor o Submit intake forms to GBV/IMS data entry to ensure proper database of cases, and analysis of reported cases o Ensure the principles of safety and confidentiality of beneficiaries’ data and data protection mechanism is in accordance with GASHBUN S/GBV SOP. 31/12/2022 | Center Focal Point | Gashbun Organization is working in partner with The Lotus Flower in 2023 undertaking a project aiming at providing services, inclusive educational activities including psychotherapy, physiotherapy autism and Down syndrome training, recreational activities, referral and training for service providers and awareness for parents and caregivers for refugee children with disabilities and specific n needs in its center in Domiz 1 with the support of UNHCR , Gashbun seeks a center focal point to run all the activities held in the work locations including support and mentor the work of the physiologist, psychiatrist, the social workers, facilitators, autism trainers, and other staff to represent the center and monitor the activities in the center. Functions & Tasks The center focal point is a link between Gashbun center and the coordinator under the general management of Gashbun director, The center focal point has the following duties: Monitor and counsel the staff to perform their tasks and duties Oversee all activities related to the project Approve the referral of cases after discussion with the supervisor and social workers. Prepare the weekly employee plans and weekly reports and daily attendance sheet. Prepare monthly reports of activities to the coordinator. Delivering training to service providers. Conduct regular staff meeting in the center. Prepare financial report to the coordinator. The center focal point is also responsible for managing the human resources of the organization in cooperation with the administrative assistant attendance, recruitment, vacation plan, respect of policies and code of conduct and etc. |
